The EB7 ST has a new design step-through with a lower span than before, it is more suitable for older people or people with physical limitations to ride.
I am a big fan of my eb7s I purchased two of them from amazon last year. They came in very nice packaging, assembly wasn't bad at all. My girlfriend and I have put over 300 miles on each of our bikes. They still ride like they day we got them. I did a lot of research before buying my first ebike. I've helped friends convert bikes to electric and I have a good understanding of electronics, but I never got a bike for myself. I really wanted a foldable with decent power and a long range. Jasion fulfilled all my request.
The eb7 can easily carry you 40 miles if you are using pedal assist. If you run full to mostly throttle you will see about 20 miles per charge. That's pretty huge to me. The top speed with wide open throttle is 20mph you can pedal to 25/30 but it is not comfortable for tall riders at duration. I do wish they had/offer a motor upgrade for customer's that have gotten into the ebike space through jasion. 500watts is perfect for a new rider or a regular rider but it leaves a little something to be desired when climbing steeper hills or when taking some dirt off road trails. I have noticed that our eb7s will experience voltage sag if pushed to hard. The battery does level out at the top of hills or once you've stopped using the motor for a second but it is prevalent.
Still as said above range has never been a issue. I would like to build removable saddle bag style battery box's/packs for mine. Overall I would give these bikes a 8/10. They are awesome bikes, I would say for early teens to adults and seniors. They are pretty easy to use and you have pretty good control with the built in lcd. Keep your manual handy for your first ride or two. Happy riding.
My husband and I love our Jasion bikes. They have been so much fun. We live on the beach and have been riding through the national seashores. It has been great fun!
Did a lot of study with Jasion even comparing the company with others like Lectric and Evelo Bikes. Chose Jasion because of the bike qualities relative to their price point.
The sale marketing and online reviews were generally positive. We were pleased to find out that the e-bikes were of good quality and very satisfied with their styling, power and features.
The jury is still out on customer service (ongoing). We did not receive the bikes from FedEx due to delivery to the wrong address. Both Jasion and FedEx sent emails stating delivery and that physical signing was NEEDED. The bikes are an expense that NO ONE would like to lose. When we emailed both FedEx and Jasion, response was VERY slow. Our belief was the fault was with FedEx but obviously both were not in sync especially with us. FedEx also stated that there was ONE package when clearly Jasion sent two. Left/right hand coordination is a very common problem these days as more and more products are ordered online.
A small part was missing from one our our package. When we emailed a request to
either fulfill that part OR suggest what we can do to obtain it, there has been NO follow up on our request. With us ordering directly from Jasion and NO Jasion recommended service shop near our area, we can only imagine what it would be like if a significant part was needed by us. With the initial non communication and the lack of support we are a little disappointed because the bikes are working very well and seemingly is not matching Jasion customer service.
So far so good
Other than the shipping of the second bike (didn't come together) assembly was fairly easy, video helped me. We took them out for the 1st time and rode 5 miles. Was really enjoyable, smooth quick out of the gate and easy to control. So far so good. Looking forward to more riding.
These are out first Ebikes and we absolutely love them. We got them to take with us in our RV. The front and back suspensions make for a pretty dog gone good ride. We have taken a ride of about 15 miles and the seat does leave a little to be desired. It's kind of hard for my old rear end.
